What Unit are you most eager to try out?

To try and inject a bit of discussion and life into the forums, as we are entering the more technical and humdrum part of development - what kind of units are people really interested in giving a try? Which do you want to form a mainstay of your army with, or at least be a very utilized and valuable unit?

I can't really say there's one, since I get to play with them...

But being an arse aside, I'm taking it slow so I haven't really seen the unique units I can work with. However, I'm still very eager to start using Daylami, which I fought against once, and found myself having one of the hardest battles I had before using GrandViz's stuff and before using AD's unit changes. I've found myself enjoying the lower level units just as much as the higher levels - Harafisha are awesome in being cheap, low upkeep, tenacious if not a strong hitting unit.

What units are other people eager to try out as soon as they get the mod?

I cant wait to use the rsjput nobles, you got to admit these guys just loook bad ass and the hybrid archers of Ghanzi, these guys are also bad ass. I cant wait till i charge a wall of Daylami's.

Why dont we play some games like who can guess the city or something? I have noticed in many mods at this stage seem to die out with support so we need to keep our support for this truly magnificant mod.

Heavy Daylami Infantry, Kypchak elites, and the Ghazi Tabardiyyah really have me itching. Though those Cataphracts......Mmmm killy goodness.

Mamluk Tabardariyya broke my badass'o'meter.

The other units I'd like to try the most are Daylami Heavy Infantry, Qaraghulams, Rajput Ghandara Axemen and Strelac's Dismounted Ghulam Archers.

I'm defiantly eager to try out all versions of Outremer Knights, Jerusalem Guards and Knight Templars.

For cavalry it is a tie between the Mamluk heavies and the Knights Templar (can't wait to see both of these smash through my enemies, or being one and having a hard fight against the other)
For infantry it is the Jund and Harafisha, I love their look, even though they might not be so powerful that can easily be fixed by proper use and cavalry and missile support or just numbers. I also love the Daylami and the Ghazis of the Ghorids.

The Ghorids truly do look incredible.

They're the scary rugged Jihadi hillmen that you just don't want to mess with. You got cavalry? Bah, can your cavalry charge me while I'm sitting on a mountain peak? Didn't think so!

lol, ya, love all of those masks and textures made for ghorid faction. I like well-armored-looking units, especially with a good mask or helmet. It's strange, but i don't like most of the units revealing their faces, still! BC did a terrific job on the Seljuk face texture which looks good, fits and historically accurate

To fill out my armies? Sergeant Swordsmen with a (hopeful) armor upgrade that gives them mail. I've always wanted a swordsmen unit that isn't a knight.
