The Spartans actually wear historically-accurate helmets in the game. It's called the Pilos. Prior to the Pilos, the Spartans wore the awesome-looking Corinthian helmet (as seen in the movie, "300") but then switched to the ugly-looking helmet you see in the game. Obviously, there were benefits to the Pilos: easier to communicate and better vision.

I do agree though: the Corinthian helmet is much cooler-looking.

That was during the Pellopenessian wars.

They probably ditched the pilos afterwards, for favour of the Chalacidian(new corinth) helmet, or Phyrgian. A lack of information leaves speculation. They also reverted back to heavy armour.

First nice desktop. Second do you have Rome Gold? That usually makes the ATG installer do nothing

1: select to instal ATGs files anywhere make a new folder on ur desktop or something

2: Decide which of ATGs variants you want

3: open you rome total war folders and go in data/models_unit plas the .cas files of the spartan variant you want in here.

4: open the folder data/models_unit/textures (if there isnt a folder called texture in here create it) place the choson texture (.tga.dds) in this folder

5: go back to Romes main folder and open the data folder and look for the text document descr_model_battle.txt (BACK THIS FILE UP BEFORE YOU CHANGE ANYTHING) then search for the spartan entry in this text document and cahnge the texture line to match the name of the new texture you have added (ATG_Spartan.tga.dds be called something like this) in ur text document remove the .dds ending so it ends with .tga. Then change the model flexi line to use the name of the new model (.cas) high for high medium for medium etc
