A serial killer is basically an extra one man mafia. He has a NK, is immune to NKs, and has to try and kill off all the other players and mafia. VERY hard role to play, but you can claim vigilante which makes it easier.

No, I just meant when ingame it's easier to pretend to be a viilante because you have a NK same as a vig does.

When I have all 12 players I'll send out roles.

Three mafia seems a bit many to me, but since it really depends on how good they are we'll have to see...

Also I may consider adding an inventor, who is given (invents) an item each day and asked who he wants to use it on. He is told what it is, but not it's exact function in terms of game mechanics.

Meh, most of the ones I've played in have only had two; but balancing is important, too.
