    Default Windows XP problem

My Windows Xp broke so bad that I had to reinstall it .Unfortunately I had a password on the old and guess what ? By the new Windows XP (without password ) my old "Documents " folder cannot be opened !!! "Access denied " it says ...Bloody stupid .And it doesn't ask me for the password and name which I know of course but can't by any chance give it .
So my old documents now are forbidden for me ...

Any idea how to unlock them ?!!!!???????????????

    Thanks very much

Have you stored your old documents in the standard folder? If yes then just create user with admin rights with same name as before, and that should let you in. If you moved folder before, try to change location of your documents to the old folder. Hope I'm clear

They are in the original folder ,but bud,my new Windows is on C drive while the old that doesn't work and its Document's folder is on D: Drive . Do you think that's not a problem ? And how do I create an administrator user ?! To the new Windows he must be ,because, you know, the old must be not functioning though I didn't erase it from the D : Drive .

So right click on the my documents shortcut on the desktop/ properties, there will be button called move, you can try to move location of your current My doc folder to the old documents on D drive.
To check user go to Start/ control panel / user accounts. There will be icon(s)with user name(s) click on the one you're logging in as and choose change my account type - there you will see what kind of account you have Limited or Admin.

Oh oh oh Windows is the most idiotic system worldwide ever ! I created a new user account with administrator rights same as the old name and it switched to it .There was no result about my old documents .They remained locked .However the new account and all settings I created before for the new XP which I used to that moment are now gone(it says they exist but they can't show in any way and I cannot switch to it ) .My Internet addresses and every possible setting is now gone ! This Windows is so idiotic that it must receive an idiotism award !

It doesn't help the situation but this is one reason why I don't use UAC on windows. I had a similar problem (wouldn't accept my password) a few years back and ultimately took it to a tech to get my data back. Not sure how or what they did but I got the data back.
