It should. How much dedicated memory for the integrated graphics card?

Post your dxdiag. It will be in there.

This is not my CPU. I'm planning to upgrade my desktop and i found that CPU as a solution.
    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Would this computer run Medieval II: Total War? I have a guess it wouldn't.

Operating System: Microsoft (r) Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600)
    System Manufacturer: Dell Computer Corporation
    System model: Dell DE051
BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A01
    Processor: Inter(r) Celeron(r) CPU 2.80 GHz
    Memory: 250MB RAM
Page File: 650MB used, 172MB available
    DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

If the answer is no, what would be the recommended PC? Thanks, much appreciated. It'd be a shame not to get the game to work because I'm a big Total War fan

Post your dxdiag for a better answer but, right now, "no".
Prefer desktop or laptop? Prebuild or build your own? What is your budget?

That was my dxdiag, what other information do you need? I prefer PC's. Prebuild. My budget is as much as it takes.

Planning on playing any modern games with it as in BF3, ME3, Shogun2, etc.?

That's a step too far: I've still get Medieval I, Medieval II and the Three Rome games to finish first.

The natural progression is Medieval1, Rome, then Medieval2.

If you could play Rome on this and tell me how well, I can give you a better idea about Medieval2.

I've seen the graphics for both Rome and Medieval II and I can tell you, they are both advanced (Like the Windows 7 compared to my computer) against Shogun I. And I don't have Rome Total War. So I can't tell you if my computer can co-operate with the Rome Engine.

Are you planning on getting aWin 7 computer, then? It makes all the difference in the world as far as game specs.

I don't mean to be cheeky, but how do you expect someone to get a Windows 7? Because I doubt their's any left in the shops. Oh, and I forgot to say, I'm 15

Well, they do exist in shops. You just have to look for them depending on which flavor you want and whether full version or upgrade.

Being fifteen, you have a lot of time, then. I would not want my fifteen back.

If you want to build your own,
get a motherboard that can support a pcie x 16 card, 4gb ram,
a Phenom II cpu preferably better with Sandybridge out and Ivybridge on the way
a 512mb+ graphics card better than my old 9800GT that can handle M2 and its mods pretty good,
    4gb ram,
and 64bit OS for future proof. I would not trade mine for 32bit, again.

For prebuilds, look online at what you can customize and stay away from HP, Dell, and unless you have money to burn Alienware. Acer and Asus seem to be the best bets if you can customize your order. Gaming machines are not cheap.
