Hello, I would like to tell you my french campaign in Deus lo vult 3.0, even if my english will not be correct sometimes, indeed, I am french.
I am playing this campaign during 2 or 3 months, hum ... actually a hundred of hours (thank you xfire).
I started this campaign with no idea of the civil revolution system. So, after taking Bordeaux and Rennes, I need to defend Paris against 4 full rebels armies. My first pics will be a little special, but not the others, you will understand.
That terrible battles make me weak, and the game harder. ... Cool !
After a lot of disapointment against England, I tried to kill them king during a travel from Antioch to France. Indeed, Crusade was acomplished by another faction.
Furthermore, Scotland was ennemy of england, and my allies.
I make England very weak by taking Caen, and helped Scottish to invade them. Faction destroyed.
But Corsicans was too rebelious...
And Flemmishs launched the offensive against Paris !
The battle was terrible for both of us, but, with help of Scotland, I destroyed Flemmish and enlarged my territory.
My army in Corsica came back to France and went throught the Alps, to take Genoa.
To prevent invasion of Germans in Metz, I sent an army on the Rhin to protect my land.
I attacked Florence, and give that city to the papal faction. Indeed, Milaneses will no longer be able to have a control in italy. But they tried to attack Genoa.
And they attacked my camp.
This battle was a carnage.
This is the situation in the front.
I married my princess with a good scottish general, and sent him to Denmark, to prevent an invasion frome them.
It was a good idea
Then, a second crusad was launch against Gaza.
It was not as a mess as you think, actually. My troops was here to make a "corridor" to let cavalry pass. But, as you know, knights was a little ... quarrelsome.
Then one of the best battle that I have made in every total war game happened.
My scottish army needed to defend itself against 3 full Dannish armies at the same time. 90 minutes of intense fight.

And, to finish, bonus, there is a draw that I made only with my memory and a pencil.
