question about sinuhet ai battle formation and other RTR plat add-ons

so i made a clean install of rome, updated to 1.3 and then 1.5, downloaded RTR Platinum v1.9 and the optional add-ons pack.

so i read the readme, and i had trouble with regards to the sinuhet ai battle formation.

1. the way i understood it, it says that i should extract the file TOGETHER with the readme to the main folder of rome (or was it the "Data" folder? can't remember, im not home). so i did exactly, and archived the original ai battle formation file as the readme said. problem is, i dunno if what i did was right. for one thing, the sinuhet battle formation file was an .exe file, an installer. i'd really REALLY be grateful if anyone out there would be able to give me clear, step-by-step instructions.

2. simple question: what's the "landblock" add-on for? i don't understand what it does, sorry for being noobish

3. almost all the add-on files (RTR grass file, no torch night battle file, animation file, etc) says that i should extract the file to the main rome: total war folder. it was clear enough, and i followed. i'd just like to confirm though if i did it correctly, cuz i didn't notice any new, noticeable changes.

i'm sorry if these questions have been already answered, or if i posted in the wrong sub-forum, but it's quite intimidating to go through all the subforums and topics. if there's already a topic like this, i'd appreciate it if anyone could post a link to it.

The optional addons are automatically in the installer
they should extract themselves there if you install RTRPE

And you should install it not into you Data Folder

... so what you're saying is i should extract all of these to the main rome folder, or the RTRPE main folder itself?

sorry, but im still kinda confused especially with sinuhet battle formations. it's an installer, so where should i install it exactly?

and err.. again what's a landblock?

Installation Instructions:
1. Archive original file "descr_formations_ai.txt" from folder <root folder of your RTW or its mod installation>/Data/, (for example C:/Activision/Rome Total War/Data/).
2. Copy and paste the modified file included in the archive file with this readme.
3. If you will want to uninstall this software, simply copy and paste your original archived file "descr_formations_ai.txt".
4. You may feel free to modify this file for your personal use, but be careful because also minor changes and "typos" may cause an unpredictable and instable behaviour of the whole installation of the game.

ok so to make it clearer, when you say "archive" a file, that simply means you save it somewhere just in case you might need it again, right?

in step 2, i'm really confused. what's the "modified file" here? and the "archive file?"

and this is a .exe file, an installer, so i dunno where to install it. should the path of the installation look something like this?

C:/Activision/Rome Total War/Data/

i just have a bad feeling that i didn't do the installation right, cuz i think the AI still acts stupidly sometimes. i mean, their generals still charge ala-rambo.
