In my current game, I just saw this image. Does this mean that my general, 2nd iin the line for throne, has been bribed ? I really didn't see this one coming xD

maybe he married some princess from another faction? or he rebelled?

Sometimes they just say "I am off to join the nobility, mylord" or something similar and leave you. For example I had a venetian General "desert" to Kievan Rus once without apparent reasons. I am not sure but I believe this happens if you are close to the limit of generals/region and an other faction has a dire need for a general. Of course it could be a successful hostile marryage takeover too (most likely).
