    Default Kingdom of Heaven

    just saw Kingdom of Heaven for the nth time. any chance to add Kerak and Ibelin as a citadel and city respectively?

    Kerak ruins in 1995
    Citadel of Kerak (Qasr). A former Crusader stronghold, it was ransacked by Saladin and left to rot for 500 years until restoration started.

    If you have not already seen it, the director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven is well worth the extra hour or so that has been reinserted into the film.

    The Krak des Chevaliers might be more significant to add, since it was the stronghold of the Hospitallers during the crusades and did not fall until later. IIRC, the film confuses these two, calling the Krak des Chevaliers the stronghold of Raynald of Chatillon, which was in reality Karak (Krak des Moabites).

    ok i thought kerak was a TEMPLAR stronghold? so... think TLR could have these?

    Only if we decide to give up some provinces. I think it's pretty tight there right now as it is.

    hmm.. ok.. when i get home, i'll look around if some settlements are less interesting. lol. or, wait.. 199 regions, yeah? how about kerak and/or ibelin be the 200th? lol or is 199 a magic number or lucky number?

    when i do change that, ill have to change their names in some other files, right? like desc_strat? and maybe settlement names lookup? and some others? any step by step on this subject?

    No actually. Just change the text to the right of the brackets. Then you won't have to modify anything. Thats just the display text.

    well, i was just thinking about scale, if you find you want an individual represented, it may be better to try to do that as a chartcter in game, or an ancilary, the Guild has tutorials for that, or you can do the trial and error approach, at the worst you get a better working knoweldge of those files.

    try adding him as a baby to start, with, name him as you want him to appear in game, thats the easy method!

    Sory my bad, i ment the above for the tutorials.

    You can add him as a baby to the imperial campaign strat doc file as a family memeber, ie a baby of age 0, called balin, Count of Ibelein.

    or you can add the name and titles to the names files, and wait for the charcter to arrive.
