Bored of the same, repetative info cards? yup, me too.

So this weekend ive been bed ridden with a STINKING flu. So, rather than sitting around sneezing all day, i thought id do something useful, and using the cin-ed, I started making some new info cards!!

So far ive finish england, the holy roman empire, and all of TLR's very own mercenary units.

Hopefully ill be done by the end of the week, should be no problem if i get get more time off cos of my man flu

Until then, here's a link to a few of my favourites I've done so far.

those look amazing, so much better then the stock cards, and the current set of unit pics for the new mercs, (no offense) good way to spend a sick day, I gotta shoot you some rep for those screenshots.

The quickest route may not always be the most fun.

Very well thought out. Use actual screen shots of a troop in the unit for the unit image.

That's one of those things that make you go "doh!" and wonder why it wasn't that way from the beginning.

Thats what i thought! seems like common sense to me. They probably went through more trouble to alter the images in the way they did anyway.

Cheers for the good feedback though, here's some pics of the french in action.

Got a few questions i hope someone can help with. First, how do i get unlimited men in a single battle??? And second, is there any way of saving campaign battle replays, or, is there any other custom maps around?? im quick running out of appropriate backdrops for my pictures.

Use the CFG file, the one where you alter the 0 or 1 for arrows under the unit highlighted, grasss viewing range, startegic character speed etc, simply change the 0 to a 1 for unlimited men on battlefield as a pre config option, instead of waiting for rienfourcements, you get as many men as you hardware can cope with, then you get a message telling you the limit is reached, in which case you reduce the game grapfics to low, in the esc option and that will increase the umber you can have.

Ive had 3 Byz armies attack 2 Syrian and a neutral crusading French army, and 4 defending Byz armies attacked by 3 turks and 2 syrian armies.

what you may well soon discover is the AI pathing for armies is dependednt on force mix, give your other army a 100% cav configuration, and it may well sit out the battle and leave you to it!.

I cannot recomend unlimeted men option highly enough, as its the only way to play imo, co oridinating your army with allied, or other armies of your own faction is a whole game in itself.

Are you using battle cam?, to get your images?.

its a third party utility that allows you to move the camera posistion down to ground level, to take better pictures because of orientation, i think you can get it on the Org for free as a DL.

Headshot, battle cam allows you to lock the camera behind and slighlty above a unit, so you can use it to move to where you want to get your picture of a specific item, it may be worth using for quickness of getting a cetain image, but otoh you seem to have the thing squared away nicely, kudos to you.

Those were really annoying since they use transparency.
The resolution is far too small to use as unit icons in battle, what i can do though is rub out the scenary around them, and use just the character. ive done that for the swordbearer mercs cos they had the english king as their icon, and done it for the moors aud knights and swordsmen.

Ahh simple! cheers buddy! now i can get many more variety of units in 1 battle.

but no, im not using battle cam, i simply set up the cinimatic-editor (cin-ed) that came with latest official patch, saved a quality battle, set graphics high, then zoomed through as a spectator taking pictures and cool scenes/poses and imported them to photoshop easy!

I know that there are some custom maps in the Download section.
    Here's a few.
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=1031

I don't think there is any way to do a battle replay unless the cine editor has a feature like that. I haven't toyed around with it.

The other option if you feel inclined is to open up the
    custom_locations.txt
file and modify the locations with coordinates on the Campaign map.
You can get coordinates using the console ~ and typing show_cursorstat

I've never tried unlimited men on the battlefield.

Think ill skip on the co ordinate thing, cheers for reply anyway though, those custom maps will be a big help.

New pic, my scottish boys in action not finished yet though.

im on a different pc and totally forgot that i have my TW brightness setting a little low, 36% i think (mainly cos night time battles were far from dark), and my monitor is a little darker too, so the images may look a little bright...

ill probably have to make a couple of versions for different brightness settings. bugger.

I thought that was for RTW only? I haven't heard of it being compatible with MTW2.
