Default The Turanian Empire | Hungarian AAR

    ... Introduction ...

The Turanian Tribes originate from a large area in Central Asia between Mongolia and Turkistan, the origin of several west surges of attacking tribes. One group of these Turanians which moved west were called Turks. Those who settled down in Russia were called Tartars, while those who remained at the borders of China, and moved west, were called Mongols. The arrival of these tribes, who were tent-living nomads.

The waves of Turanian tribes, including the Huns, Seljuk Turks, Mongols, Turkmens and the Ottoman Turks, into the Middle East and Asia Minor were staggered and became constantly stronger and larger.

Right across northern Europe and Asia, from the Baltic to the Pacific and from the Mediterranean to the Arctic Ocean, there stretches a vast band of peoples to whom some ethnologists have in the late 19th and early 20th century assigned the name of "Uralic-Altaic race" (no longer in use) but who are more generally termed as "Turanians". This group embraces the most widely scattered folk - the Ottoman Turks of Constantinople and Anatolia, the Turcomans of Central Asia and Persia, the Tartars of South Russia and Transcaucasia, the Magyars of Hungary, the Finns of Finland and the Baltic provinces, the aboriginal tribes of Siberia, and even the distant Mongols and Manchus .

The Turanians have certainly been the greatest conquerors and empire-builders that the world has ever seen: Atilla and his Huns, Arpad and his Magyars, Isperich and his Bulgars, Alp Arslan and his Seljuks, Ertogrul and his Ottomans, Genghis Khan and Tamerlane with their "inflexible" Mongol hordes, Baber in India, even Kubilai Khan and Nurhachu in far-off Cathay - the hoof-print of the Turanian "man on horseback" is stamped deep all over the palimpsest of history.

    Chapter 2

Khan Laszlo led his armies in person, dominating his generals, holding no councils of war, confiding no plans as to the destination of the well-disciplined armies which he mustered each year from both Hungary and the Balkans. The Khan's troops were assembled from all over the known world, including: "Asiatic Steppes, Eastern Europe and Turkic warriors from Asia Minor."

After numerous victories on the field. Khan Laszlo set his eyes on Constantinople. The most beautiful, rich, cultured, marvel of the world. Even the combind power of the Venetians and Romans could't stop the Khan's hordes. As persistent self-confident as the Khan was, so was his army. Victory after victory the Khan's hordes pushed forward. Ultimately the Khan reached the walls of Constantinople.

As the Khan gazed at the city. His men looked nervous. It almost seemed like the giant walls of Constantinople was laughing at his army. The tremendous walls of the city shadowed the Khan's army, but he was not worried not even a bit. The Khan was as ready as he ever would be. Almost at the age of 51. There he stood strong as a lion, ready to grind the city to powder. The Khan's army was not equipped with highly advanced siege weapons, but simple siege towers and rams.

Keep it coming, it's really good! The video was a cool touch (and kinda funny )
Maybe more people would comment if the topic title read "Byzantine AAR" or "English AAR"
I hope you will be writing an in-depth description of the siege of Constantinople?

    Chapter 3

    The siege of Constantinople

    The Turanic army had arrived....

Khan Laszlo rode out in the night to reassure his men. His men were weary from the long march the night before. Within the army ranks his men felt great solidarity. After nearly 20 years of campaigning his men felt great affection for their Khan. Their supreme ruler and guider in need, but if the Turanic army was to be stopped here, all would had been for nothing. So
for this special occasion the Khan had assembled all of his troops. Leaving the rest of his Empire almost exposed for any immediate threat.

The Khan announced plans for a final all-out assault on the walls, to take place on Wensday, February 15. On the preceding Sunday he rode trough the ranks of his army, accompanied by his eldest son and his greatest general, the soldiers would be allowed three days in which to pillage the city, whose treasure would be fairly apportioned among them. The first to scale the walls would be rewarded with fiefs and high posts in the administration. The defenders within the city could hear shouts of joy from the troops outside and their cry:" Turan! Turan! Turan!"

Troughout the next day there reigned without the walls a total and ominous silence, as the Turanic forces rested before the coming assault. Within them it was broken by the pealing of church bells and the sounding of gongs, as icons and sacred relics were carried trough the streets and around the walls in procession and prayer. The Khan, after a general tour of inspection, called his ministers and commanders to his tent, as the army stood ready before the giagantic walls.

    Chapter 1

Khan Laszlo the Honourable was an absolute monarch, comparable to Atilla the Hun, the conqueror of the world, 7 centuries earlier.
As Khan of the "Turan" presuming to be not only the "Sovereign and Autocrat of the Balkans" but "the new Khan of Khans AtaKhan of all the Turanians," under the insignia of the mythical eagle the Tugrul, Khan Laszlo set out to unite the Turaninans once and for all. Khan Laszlo was well launched on an agressive policy of widespread expansion in Europe. The Turanic hordes threatened to be an enemy more formidable than any the Europeans had yet encountered.

Khan Laszlo managed to secure the flanks of his Empire by setting up temporarely alliances with the surrounding kingdoms. Khan Laszlo's motives were simple. Khan Laszlo, a leader of vision, resolution, and energy, the Khan of the Turanians wanted to build up a stable Empire that would continue to rise after the Khan's demise. A Empire that would bring unity, ideaology, a cause, and most important of all, dominance over the known world.

The Venetians to the West and the dying, but not yet dead Eastern Roman Empire to the East was the Khan's first concern. As he set out with his hordes to conquer the Balkans. The Khan met opposition of his rivals, fearing the unification of the Turanians in Europe, Anatolia, Middle East. The Latins and the Romans joined forces in order to stop the almighty Khan, by doing this. The Europeans sought to destroy the upcoming threat, or atleast halt the advance of Khan Laszlo.

Well Hex Khan since there is no real interest. I will quit this AAR, but I might write a new one. My more simple, but filled with action AAR about the Seljuks had way more success then this one.
