Unspecified error, must exit.

I don't get it. I have 2.3 LTC (been playing it for a few months). I am getting the dreaded "unspecified error, M2TW must exit" deal. I have three saved games that I cycle through (plus auto save) that represents maybe a couple of hours play from most recent to oldest save. Something has crapped out.

I get the above error every time, regardless of the save game I try to load , during the AI strat phase. I think I am buggered and looking at a reinstall.

Your thoughts?

I have same problem.Save game was corrupted?
After reinstlling now work fine but old save game still crashes.

That's a default error message, you get than in M2TW vanilla as well. The vanilla log file will show a lot of errors.

My guess is the problem is most likely the errors with portugese names, which will be fixed in 3.0.

LTC 2.3 has this problem with the CNP bugs, so thats why I've stopped playing until 3.0 comes out, cause all my campaigns have ended in the crash..

I don't think its just portugal, I'm sure I've seen blank scottish names too.

Does CNP 3.0 work on LtC 2.3

First off: don't triple post - it is rather annoying and highly likely to make me ignore your posts.

Secondly: of course a mod that changes the character names won't work if you don't include the file that sets the starting character names.

Did it work? I followed the link you showed but it said it was CNP for MTW2 vanilla 1.02 and a few speciialized onews for Stainless Steel. I didnt see any files for LtQ.
