    Default Reducing random attacks

First off this game is badass. I obtained it about a week and a half ago and I am loving it.

I am in my second campaign now after having gotten bored with doing nothing but colonizing with Great Britain. So I decided to avoid the new world altogether and just focus on subjugating Europe. To this end I chose Burgundy.

At some point I decide that I do not like the way the France is looking at me and I decide to smash them. So I did. I annihilated every army and navy that they had on or around Europe. I conquered every one of their European provinces. I get a large chunk of their land in the peace deal.

In doing this I have accumulated quite the street rep. Everyone hates me. Except the Teutonic Order for some reason.

My question is this. What can I do to stop all the annoying attacks by other countries? It is no problem for me to swat them off as I have a very large and very powerful military but it is quite annoying and is crimping my research stylings a little bit. Hmmmmmmmm, I am not sure if stylings is a word but if not it is now.

Basically I just want to if anyone knows how to become honorable again. Quickly is also very important. I have tried not starting any wars but I still get involved because countries keep attacking me. I just want to chill out and advance in tech for good long while now.

If you hover your mouse over the wording that say "we have a tarnished reputation" or "we are hated throughout the world" there is a number that pops up. This number will be something like 11.0/35 or something. The number on the left is what you have the number on the right is the threshold

This number is called badboy, if you go over the threshold most other nations will hate you and try to destroy you. You can lower this by diplomat advisors and having a good king.

If your just dominating these nations i'd just ignore it and go for an evil empire world conquest.

This badboy exists to basically show how other nations think of your belligerent conquests. There are strategies you can use to lower how much they hate you when you conquer. Like use spies to fabricate claims on a nations capital so when you annex them you dont get 6 badboy. Also it would let you always have a cassius belli which I think lowers the BB for declaration of war.

Thanks dude. I am at 62.39/37. I am losing .7 a year for my king. I can't even hire any useful advisers. Just priest dudes and spy dudes. LOL I guess I will have to go with a an evil empire. Thanks again though man.

Holy crap, it's good to never let your badboy rating exceed the number to the right. It's bad enough when it gets that high up there, but when it exceedes the number to the right you can more or less forget good relations.

In my Ming world conquer campaign (abandoned due to a patch... I should do it again sometime) my BB hit like 150. Or something ridiculous. I was suprised it wasn't higher really, considering I took provinces and annexed right across asia all the way to europe (where I was when I patched). I didn't annex all that many though, since there aren't as many one province minors over in asia, which is I guess why. Great fun. Every nation that discovered me decced me instantly. And then I pwnd them. Now thats what I call diplomacy.
