Default Roman legionaries lacking audio acknowledgement

    Hello all!
I'm having a problem with roman legionaries in battle map. They are mute! Every other unit says something when I click on them, like "Yes imperator!", "Commander!", ecc... Roman legionaries are just mute. I have experienced this with republican legionaries, not tried imperial yet.
It's such a shame because it feels like something is missing! In vanilla I remember there were even some fancy acknowledgements for first cohorts, like "Rome's finest!", "First cohort!" and something of that sort; now they are speechless too.

Have you experienced the same issue?
I like very much this mod and I think we should help to make it as perfect as possible
If lt1956 agrees we should have it fixed. If time is an issue, I could try to work on it myself and post a fix. Any opinion?

Default Giving back voice to the legions

OK guys, I did the thing myself. I made some changes in the file "export_descr_sounds_units_voice.txt", and now roman legionaries correctly address you when selected (at the moment only republican style legionaries are fixed). The modified file is in attachment.

If you want to try it, please let me know your comments: whether it works, if you like it, etc... If enough of you find this useful we could ask to have it added to the main branch!

P.S. The "First cohort!" acknowledgement was in BI. But maybe I could put it in, with a little more effort.

Umm, they should already have been added? They are listed in the file for both 1st and regular cohorts. Are you sure you have the right version?

I just checked ALL the names are there, you cant be playing with teh 6.4 patch or you overwrote something. You need to reinstall 6.4, I suggest downloading the Full version just to be safe. As I noticed missing voices a while back before release. Though 6.3 might have had them in it. 6.4 if fine you posted a file that isnt needed, I will delete this thread after you replay.

Ok lt, now I understand the problem: I am playing with 6.3! Btw, you did so many changes in 6.4 that I suspected you didn't mind the voices. But you fixed that too... great!
So it seems I wasted my effort and your attention... at least, I learned a bit more about modding!
Last thing, in order to make this thread non completely useless, what do you think of the idea I suggested, to take the "First cohort!" acknowledgement from BI? I think I could do that. It could add more flavor?

Little late now, spqr is finished. ;-) Thats why its important to give feedback when I ask instead of after the fact.
