Some things seen for the first time in 6.4
1) A really first class Carthaginian army in Italy, and it manuvers!
2) The Gauls seem to have learned the virtues of fortifying the Po crossings.
3) The AI pulled off my worst nightmare when it launched simultaneous Carthaginian advances against both Beneventum & Paestrum; I was strategically "pinned" until they got distracted by a revolt in Taras!
Incidentally, they have been fixed in position at Taras for the last 10 turns; Rome has been desperately building up to produce an army capable of facing them in a stand up fight, so the issue won't be decided in Italy before 205 BC at the earliest with that only being the first step on the road to Carthage itself. Then an opposed crossing of the Po, shades of 1945!

1) Yep too bloody true
2) Oh great, you mean I've got that to look forward too? Having a great deal of trouble getting Arretium back (lost it and Genua due to the serious elephant infestation in the south of Italy). The forest warbands are now a serious PITA.
3) 'Pinned' is one description, 'on the ropes' is another
