OK, I may have just heard the dumbest thing in my life if it is true. I was playing Battleground Europe and some people were talking about a proposal from democrats that was anyone who has an income of $250,000+ per year keeps the 250,000 but the rest goes to the government. However it said that this wouldn't apply to the politicians. I didnt get to ask them about this as I had to leave, but if this is true what the hell? Can someone give me the full details on this proposal? I mean this sounds like a form of communism. Did it come from Hillary Clinton?

LOL. That is actually probably true in cases where someone would make just a little of 250,000. But imagine an athlete - 8 million - and you get 250,000 of that. If this actually did happen then all doctors, lawyers, athletes, and other people with large incomes would move away in a heartbeat so I know it wouldnt happen but the fact that if someone actually considered this probably shouldnt be in politics and making any decisions in any country.

Well that was my point. It would be kind of silly no? You make 260,000 and keep 10000?

Do you know what they paid under Carter?

Umm, nope. If this concept were instituted, such a person would pay only $10,000, and keep the remaining $250,000. (Assuming this is the only tax the person pays all year.)

I heard of something worse. If you don't have health insurance of any kind and you pay out of pocket, you and the doctor who took the money go to jail. This is part of Hillray's socialized healthcare plan.

This is real. That's basically the healthcare plan Romney developed in Massachusetts, although I don't believe jail was involved, just fines.

I haven't heard of this proposal, but that would never get passed into law in the U.S.

I don't see how it is effective. How else are you going to get medical treatment if you don't have health insurance.

I know she tried to give us universal healthcare waaay back in 1993, is that what youre referencing?

Or has she put forward a brand new healthcare plan?

It might be the one from 1993 with some revised plans. She is running for Pres, so she is probably "perfecting" her plan.
