    Default Couple of Questions

Hey... I love this mod. Good work fellas.

Not to waste too much time, I'll just get right to the questions.

    1) How would I go about Nerfing the costs a little bit? I like the idea of increased costs, but I think they are just a bit too outrageous. I would like to lower them by about 10%ish for everything.

    2) I don't quite get the whole thing with titles. I understand what they do, but you seemed to indicate that they could be "transfered" from one player to another. How is this done?

    3) How did you get the computer to use real Papal names? I have been trying to do that on the vanilla version, which I will probably never go back to, BTW, but I would still like to know how to do it.

    4) How do you edit the maps exactly? I am asking this one because I have an idea for a mod that I would like to try out. It would be my first mod for Total War, but I would like to try my hand none-the-less.

    Thanks.

    Welcome!

    Glad you like it.

The best place to find information about learning to mod is in the Mod Workshop forum. The tutorials area is especially good for a new modder.

    1. Open export_descr_buildings.txt and edit the lines that start with cost

    2. You drag them to the other characters portrait

    3. descr_names.txt and text/names.txt
A better place to find information is the Character Names Project.

    4. Thats a big one. The best place to start is in the Mod Workshop. There is a subforum specific to maps.
    The_Long_Road\data\world\maps\base\
contains the tga files that specifiy the map. You have to learn how to modify them.

    Hope I was some help.

I have another quick question, if you have a moment... I don't quite understand the whole "education" thing. I moved my generals to the capital for 4 turns after they come of age, and I really don't see much of a difference in their traits. Am I missing something?

Gloabaly there is a bonus % chance per number of churchs your faction has of an increase, there is a specific location bonus for size of church at your characters location, and then there is the simply staying in a settlement with 100% mps at turns end, thats your chnces of getting better education, more and bigger churches make it happen quicker.
