1.2 patch problem

Hello guys,

I have a little problem here could you guys help me out. This is what happened. I can't unistall my mtw2, because the new update still remains intact, so I need to get rid of the 1.2 patch. Before I can reinstall my game. I have tried everything. From cleaning my computer to deleting in my register, but I can't seem to get rid of the 1.2 update, but it's very important I prevail in this quest.

P.s. I don't know where I can find the 1.2 update to uninstall. I already looked in Software, but I couldn't find it there. Probably I only have to remove a few files from it, but the question is where can I find them? Or is there any more sufficent way to remove the 1.2, without searching for the remainings.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think it is possible to uninstall the patch. I think that you need to uninstall the game, after which there will likely be some remnants left in your system files and in the registry. You will need to manually delete the entire folder (Medieval II Total War)...or whatever is left over. Then you will need to empty the registry entry for the game. I've got a huge sense of deja-vu with this topic, but anyway...

start > run > regedit << open the registery editor

HKLM\Software\SEGA\Medieval 2: Total War << delete that entire folder

start > run > controls > add and remove programs << uninstall m2tw

reboot

browse to root DVD/setup.exe << skip launcher to install.

That should work.
