So, after successfully getting the mod to work and playing a somewhat full game as the Western Roman Empire, I have some questions/feedback.
Do the special ancillaries like Patrician and Master of Horse and such, ever return if the guy who is holding them dies? Do new ones appear at all?
Will all those characters who start in forts ever have children, since they don't appear in the family tree?
Is there any way to get the Romano-British on your side as the West Romans? The two should be in an alliance at least, I think. The Romano-British also seem to overrun Ireland and the Picts very easily, as well as defeating the Saxon invaders and going on to invade France. Was this intended?
Is there any way to make more of the map known to the West and East Romans at the start of the game? They did formerly rule most of the map, so it's strange they don't have knowledge of it anymore.
If you activate the full scripts, will the Western and Eastern Romans permanently stay allied, unless you attack them? Also, what exactly do all of those other scripts do that come with the full scripts, as well as the other options like Shadowing-Spawning on?
I don't recall if I could train these units at the very start of the game, but very early in, about the 6th turn, I moved the capital of the Western Roman Empire back to Rome, and later in the game, I had the highest level of barracks built both there and Ravenna. Neither of these cities could produce the Palatine infantry (although both could produce the Palatine auxillary infantry and the Palatine calvary).
During battles, as I moved the camera around, sometimes weird black lines or shapes would start to appear, obscuring the battlefield. Typically it was when I moved the camera close to calvary units. Is this a known bug and is there anyway to fix it?
Just want to finish off by saying that this mod is fantastic and remains my favorite BI mod, so I'll be awaiting the release of 7.04
