    Default A noobs problem and contributions :)

    Hey there, being so stupidly new to all this i hope this hasnt already been posted somewhere, but i couldnt find it...

    anyway, i was having problems with events being triggered, and discovered errors in the descr_events.txt and changed, so if anyones having issues, try using the one in the attachment.

    I also added voices to many mercenaries, dismounted knights order units, and other new units (dismounted mailed knights, sergeant swordsmen etc). Plus as well as adding voices i changed some too (dismounted english knights now say "knights of england" rather than "heavy infantry" for example, and the moors princess speaks, even if its only the east european voice).

    P.S on a totally different note, is there any threads to how the Hotseat works, and changes that can be made?? i dont quite understand how i can be seiging with a phat army, then the next turn im back in my castle, having lost to a meager amount of less equipped rebels.

    Wow.

    Your first post and you use it to offer a fix to a problem you found.

    And here I was all happy with myself because one of my recent threads actually turned into somewhat of a discussion, instead of the usual "no, cant be done" or "no, that's a stupid idea" single post response.

    Now you've made me feel all insecure and bad. I hope you're happy!

    By all that I mean to say, welcome aboard. It is a killer mod, aint it?

    Ohh nice. I can't wait to try it. While I fixed the princesses for the next release, I hadn't touched any of the new units. This will definately help!

    There is a fix to Hotseat autobattles. It will be included in the next release.
    Search for a thread on "Hotseat auto autoresolve" in the forums.

    Btw, the descr_events.txt is not a bug. If you look again you will see that the world_is_round event is now a duplicate.

    My pleasure. Ive been a frequent, if a bit silent , visitor to this site, tried many mods, and this is clearly the one to have!

    Ahh thank you.

    I have another problem.. I'm a big fan of using the holy roman empire, but creating teutonic knights long before the teutonic_founded event occurs seemed massivly unfair. (as well as getting +3 melee/crude for the HQ). To change this ive gone into the export_descr_buildings.txt and changed teutonic knights to have -

    and event_counter TEUTONIC_FOUNDED 1 and event_counter TEUTONIC_DEFEAT 0 and event_counter MAIL_ARMOR 1


    ....but it hasnt done anything... im still able to get teutonic knights the day mail armour comes about, and can still make teutonic guilds long before the order even exists. Am i missing something???.... plus, im not totally certain, but im pretty sure ive need even seen the teutonic founded event even occur...

    Btw guys, headshots did a huge amount of work. Now the new units will actually have sounds in battle!

    Thats because the and event_counter TEUTONIC_DEFEAT 0 doesn't work properly.

    Try and not event_counter TEUTONIC_DEFEAT 1
