I want to try to make a mod focuzing on the AFTERMATH of the fall of the western empire. alot of war, betrayal, and dozens of assassinations took place during these years.
the mod will start in they year 489, 13 years after the the "fall of the roman empire", and the general consolidation of ostrogothic Italy
although, at the time no one considered that the roman Empire had actually "fallen". It clearly existed, and was the most powerful realm in europe.
Its capital was Constantinople, and its emperor was Zeno.(eastern portion)
the ending year will be 625, Under the Visigothic king, Suintila, the last of Constantinople's posessions in Spain fell in 625.The Imperial prescence in Spain following Justinian's re-conquest had thus lasted but three-quarters of a century.
