Cicero’s Crest This medal is awarded to any Citizen who has provided exceptional input into areas directly relating to the Curia. Any member who is nominated needs the support of three Citizens and must send an application to the CdC. The candidate will be awarded the medal is he achieves a 2/3 majority of non abstaining CdC votes.

There is no doubt in my mind that the following deserve the medal and thus since I am confident you will all agree I will save some time and nominate them all in one thread.

Let me see, momentarily, please, if my recollections on merits are correct:

Garbarsardar [Major contributions before my time?]
Profler [Major contributions before my time?] Possibly Decim, though I can't remember for certain.
the Black Prince - Wrote the present Constitution in its basic form. Decimvirate member. Longterm Curial activist.
Mimirswell - Curator. Curial activist of few posts, many proposals, much substance.
Spiff - Curator.
imb39 - Bought the site. Originator of the current Constitution. Curator.
Sulla [Major contributions to the Curia before my time?]
Ozy - I won't touch this one, even with a bargepole!
Scottishranger - Curator
Belisarius - Curator.

I would like to add Obi Wan Asterix to the list, as an ex-Speaker for the Curia and first to hold that role; and Fabolous too, as Curator and Decimvir.

Its the distinguishing feature. Actually let's be more accurate. And I'll do the three new ones, too:

Belisarius - Curator, Decimvirate.
WBK - Concept-creator of many parts of the present Constitution [Other major contributions before my time?]
Tacticalwithdrawal - Concept-creator of various major reforms in the past, including (for instance) electoral reforms.
gigagaia - Not so sure about Curia-based actions here, to be honest; major extraCurial contributions especially with Content but not really much Curial.

I still say OWA and Fab should be added.

Any corrections or stuff you feel I've missed, feel free to add.

To be wholly clear, I support the nominations of the following:

The Curia is not the Constitution.

Does making sure there is a Curia qualify, Ozy?

It does, but that doesn't mean I can remember everyone who gets that qualification, especially as I wasn't even around for the foundation of the Curia. I might add that Constitution-writing is kind of intimately linked to the Curia founded around... the Constitution!

Ozy, he has been consistently active in the Curia proposing/supporting/drafting bills, laid some of the groundwork for the current constitution, is the Speaker of the House and was on Dec (?)

We could apply that to half the people in the Curia at the moment really.

Whilst I am flattered, I would like to refuse the honour. All the work I did for the Curia was done without contemplation of any reward, as such.

This surely applies to all of the nominees, since rewards were not extant at the time of the contributions...

Oh, I accept that. This is a purely personal decision. It can only be applied to me and my own personal circumstances. I am flattered but am turning down the application.
