help....videocard...

i was thinking to buy a notebook the toshiba satelite A200-12x with a nvidea7300 (256mb dedic.+256 shared(turbocache))....is this any good???? can i run M2tw on med/hi specs?????
if any one have the same notebook pls anser....

if you say that i cant run M2tw on med/hi spec, pls tell me, what other notebook (any models) do you (recomend/have) that run the game......about the same price tag

Do you need to play the game on a laptop? It will cost a ton more to use a laptop as they are more expensive and get very hot as well.

And no, a 7300 won't be able to run the game on medium settings as far as I can tell. Unless medium means low everything except unit detail and textures, as some people seem to think.

Talking of laptops isn't it very hard to play with hugh unit size settings with them because the max speed you can get is 2.4ghz these days???

to Garnier: well i now this but i check and most geforce 7300 out there came out whith (128mb dedic+128 shared) and now toshiba released this new laptop whith at least the doble memory(256mb dedic+256shared)for the same video card, shouldnt that make a huge diference????

No, to be honest. How much would that laptop cost? And is it possible for you to get a desktop instead? Cause you could get a MUCH better machine for the same price if you got a desktop instead of a laptop.

More memory on the card really only makes an impact when playing at higher resolutions. As this will be a laptop you don't need a high memory card.

If you're really deadset on getting a gaming laptop i'd recommend the sager SAGER NP2090 which comes with an 8600GT. You can configure yourself a pretty decent gaming NOTEBOOK for a little over a thousand.

My advice is think again, you won’t be able to play Rome Total War at decent settings with that let alone MedII:TW. The Laptop you have pointed out costs around £600, well decent desktop for gaming costs around that amount money so in order for you to game on a laptop you will need to fork out more cash. Sorry.

Dell does a nice range of gaming laptops, but you will have to double your money just to get a laptop that will run MedII at medium settings.

remember i asked advice from you gus on laptop videocards..... pleasae dont start drifting away.... if i wanted a desktop i would ask for that..... so resuming topick..... ok so the gf 7300 go is off........so how about the new (geforce 8400m gs 128mb ded+712mb shared dx10) that came out with the new LG E 500 laptop or even beter in the new HP Pavillion 6500Tse both of d them santa rosa machines and very similar specs..... now would that run M2tw on meduim/hi

No it wouldn't the 8400m, is the budget range of the new DX10 cards from nivdia and budget means only good for office apps.

This will run M2tw on high/Medium
