this is a simple question how many of you guys have a gun. If you do could you share what kind of gun it is.
As for me I have a .357 Magnum and a 12gage shotgun. I am thinking about getting a high power hunting rifle in the future.

I will be getting one soon, as soon as I turn 18. I am thinking some kind of rifle to have fun with out in the country or something, although if I ever got the money I really want a Desert Eagle.
Nothing personal, but that is one of the scariest things I have ever read. Especially the part about "as soon as I turn 18."
I am 31 years old and I do not, nor have I ever owned a gun. Frankly, most people that do own guns make me just a little bit uncomfortable. They seem to like them way too much.

Evil is bad sold as good, wrong sold as right, injustice sold as justice. Like the coat of a virus, a thin veil of right can disguise enormous wrong and confer an ability to infect others."

No gun here. No real point for one really. I suppose one firearm for home defense against someone breaking in makes sense. But i do not understand peoples love for having so many guns. Unless you are honestly a collector. However i wouldnt mind having a WW2 STG-44 or a bolt action sniper. -Leon
yes no point in owning alot of guns unless your a collector really :O
actually if your a crazed loner that in and of itself is a reason NOT to own a gun , for your safety and others.
_ps i know i know :O most crazed loners cant afford a collection of legal guns anyway , and any crazed loner can build a bomb from almost anything --its really the most basic chemistry. hell you can make a gun, it only takes a firing pin with sufficient force to ignite the primer-- so to say most crazed loners arent violent, and those that are usually get stopped before doing anything like columbine or vt-- but it does happen; but for that to stop the knowledge of guns would have to be removed from all of humanity.

It's a joke. I grew up with guns in the house, but currently find little reason to buy a gun with my extra money (as if I had any). I'm not opposed to gun ownership, but do not currently own one.
I will say that learning to operate and maintain a firearm is a good idea, even if you don't want to become a gun nut and buy howitzers and all that.

yeah I think everyone should learn to be familiar with a gun, so they dont have an unreasonable fear but a healthy respect for firearms.
Guns are only a waste of money if you don't like shooting stuff. Sure, its pointless, but for some of us its fun.
If I lived north of my cyurrent position I would own a rifle. Its open forest land with such few people around, and hunting is common. So I could use my rifle for shooting stuff on my own property without drawing any attention to myself.
Where I live now, owning a gun is pointless. There so few shooting ranges, and no hunting areas within sensible driving distances.
I want to buy a Mauser and/or a Lee-Enfield.
