    Default Sorry, another script question.

So I load a game, press esc, click on the "?". Then the advisor appears and start talking about graphic options and etc. I am doing something wrong or do I just have to hit the "show me how" button (even though no "click on show me how to activate the script" message appeared)?

Sorry, but I´m worried I did something wrong...

another question, btw, could someone teach me how to use the KillSheet? Do I just imput kills or do I have to do something else?

Once you click on show me how the script is enabled. Don't worry about her not saying anything like "SPQR script enabled" as she doesn't apart from at the beginning... I think.

Theres 2 ways you can use the killsheet.

The 1st way is to manually write the results of every battle, copying them from the victory/defeat window at the end of each battle, and after you exit the game subtract the number of romans remaining from the number of ones deployed. Do the same with the enemy factions' numbers you fight, and you'll have the number of soldiers killed from each faction, which you then input into the killsheet under each respective faction. So for instance if you deployed 3000 romans and were left with 2000 remaiining, you input the number 1000 under the column marked "Romans." The killsheet adds the numbers up automatically so you dont need to worry about grand totals.

The 2nd way you can use it is pretty much the same except that you playthe game in a window instead of fullscreen and instead of having to manually write the number of soldiers deployed and remaining after each battle, you can do the subtracting on the calculator application of windows and directly input the answer on the killsheet without having to exit the game in the process. This way is certainly easier to use, but having open applications besides SPQR is a burden to you your memory and your game might slow down significantly depending on the spcs you're playing it on.

-ne in the command line. It actually doesn't put it in a window, it makes it so you can bring other windows up without leaving the game, and not have to watch the loading bar either when you alt-tab back. Its very handy, especially for killsheet. As soon as a battle is over, I can see the losses and alt-tab, and write them directly into the killsheet and then alt-tab back in no time.

This is one of the most useful posts I have ever read on here. Thanks for the info. No more paperwork!!!!

I have only recently begun using the killsheet, can someone explain that battles won:lost part?

Is this a manual record identical to that in the game? I wonder if there is something about this stat that i have misunderstood.

On my killsheet i have changed this column to General, I now keep a record of who fought the fight, run a macro every so often and it generates a chart of each individual generals record.

I love this aspect of the game. I am following my family much more closely wondering who will rise to the top of list. I find the extra layer added by loyalty and my family allows me to become much more immersed in the SPQR world. I also track how many Generals they have killed. Right now young Quintus is my main slayer of Generals and troops, his brother Vibius seems to lack the ruthless streak.

I only changed one column of Divinehammers killsheet, added a macro for the generals and a chart. Its not perfect, I wish I knew how he made his chart have the data show when its added, ie if no Egyptians are killed yet, then they don't show up on the chart. I would be happy to share it, but its mainly Divinehammers work. I might see if he is around.

He is around if you search the other threads he is reworking his spreadsheet... you may want to PM him and help it out with your changes... I've also customised his spreadsheet to track all my named legions and record their creation/campaign and battle history...

btw welcome to the forums if nobody has done so before

I have something like that too. I record the date recruited and all the battles they've fought. I start with the permarius legions, considering them named. When I get republicans, I will send the permarian legions to their home town, disband them, and then recruit the republicans, saving their history. Here's what it looks like so far in my campaign:

    I'm doing that!
I'll have to cast my mind back but the kill sheet will jog my memory.

I did that two, I also keep track of the Legion's in the kill sheet, so for example Legio V has killed 13,421 Gaul's in it's four battle, taking 3,573 casulties, giving it a ratio of One Roman to 3.76 enemies.
And I also added a table where I could give there names, so Legio V is Vibius's Hammer

Right here's a kill sheet I made, using the base one and ideas from Garniers, It let's you keep track of how many battles a legion's been in, and if they were the Leading legion, not reinforcements, how many enemies were killed.
