Wow - that intro movie is quite awesome! Did you guys make it? If so then how did you do it and what did you use? If anything it looks like a teaser/trailer for a Rome Total War 2

lol, I thought it was a teaser for Rome: Total War (1).

That's the way RTW should have looked. Or something the Alexander exp. pack could've done.
Well what can you say, LT made RTW playable as it should have been made from the start...amazing
That was the teaser for Rome: Total War.
No, but I think it was filmed on medival 2 total war.
It's amazing.
how do i disable it? fun to watch the first time around, but annoying to have to press esc each time i start the program
I think its BACKGROUND_FMV in your preferences file.
nope, that just disables the screen/movie in the background of the main menu and its submenus
eh, i just deleted the ATVI video in the fmv folder
Ah I remember, put -nm in your command line.
yep, although that also removes the menu background "video", which in SPQR is just a picture
Just delete the file its the easiest way I do. Thats why I didnt go through all the effort of a custom Movie, it jgets thrown out in the end.
It was the teaser video for RTW1 that was included with Viking Invasion IIRC.![]()
Heck I knew I seen that sequence somewhere before. It just come to me, its from Time Commanders, cracking show it was too. But it sure as hell beats every other TW intro out there, I says its better than MTW II into.
LG
can somebody post it online or give a link where i can see it plz?
yeah i can remember watching this when i got the Gold edition of MTW.
I just updated from 6.2 to 6.4 and I saw the movie. It's great!
But I noticed in the movie that the legions marched in testudo to the enemy(while not under enemy fire) and got attacked by them, when they were still in testudo. I haven't tried it but is testudo realy a good way to withstand the first enemy-charge? Cause I'm always using the tight formation when fighting barbarians...
