Evolution (again) bigger better and more damning
there have been alot of posts on evolution this last week and i was reading something that pointed to a very interesting youtube video. its a presentation by a scientist named Ken Miller who was a witness for the 2005 court case against the american school board that wanted to introduce 'inteligent design' into classrooms. the courtcase found that not only was it just plain stupid to do so but it was also against the first amendment of the US constitution. anyway the video is about the scientific facts brought to bare as evidence and how damning it was to the ID supporters. the full video is nearly 2 hours long (45 mins of questions at the end) but to anyone with an interest in Evolution or science it is very worthwhile to watch as i did so last night.

if you dont watch the full one an interesting point that came out in the case was that the 'ID' movement which claims to be scientific is just a PR remarket of creationism to the extent that they took all their creationist 'textbooks' in 1987 and change the word created to the word designed etc
