Default Do you ever get really heated up in a argument over internet?

When I get involved in a argument in internet like in TWC, I always get heated up.
I cannot think anything else for a while, I constantly think what to reply and sometimes I even have difficulties of sleeping because I'm so excited, heated up and thinking.
When I get stuck in a argument, or god-forbid getting refuted, I get so frustrated I can't do anything else and I want to smash my PC and sometimes I'm just damn scared to see others reply.
    Does anyone experience like this?
Or am I different from others?
Please tell us what you think.

I used to be like that. Then i think i realized how pointless it is to feel that way. Maybe because most of the people on the net are hardheaded, no matter how good your logic and reasoning are they still rebuke you. But yes i know how you feel, but why get yourself worked up over nothing? I mean what can you accomplish? In saying this i also know its easier said than done.

This isn't even a segment of my life. Why should I get perturbed about something that has no direct association with how my life works?

I think when you present of one of your important ideas/opinions and it gets confronted, it very much has something to do with my life.

I meant that being here is not really an important aspect of my life. And,the ideas that people share and propagate here have no effect on me in real life, leaving some cases where you can't really hold fast to the tradition..

    Nah not really...
I may end up thinking "what a prick" or worse things, but getting really angry and mad about it, no. And the argument won't stick in my head any longer than I want it, after I'm away from my computer, I don't think about it anymore

Yes, because some people say really really retarded things.

To an extent. Over the years there have been some genuinely evil ****s posting here. I mean, people that would have been right at home at the Stormfront forums.

One thing I learn from debating on the internet is that the one who loses temper the earliest tend to end up being the laughingstock.

Nieder nay, I would save that up for face to face arguments.

No point in getting yourself worked up to the point of insomnia or aneurysm.

Take an example from Jack Johnson; he is so relaxed that witchdocters from all around the world diagnosed him clinically dead.

Have you been spying on me?

@Juggernaut- I find it difficult to get worked up with someone I'm talking with when I can't listen to the tone of their voice or the seriousness of thier manner. Though a few times I've gotten close to throwing crockery at the monitor, such as during a certain arguement about Hiroshima and Nagasaki with a certain forum member

That is SO true on SO many levels its kinda of sad.

Only when I'm dealing with an absolute noob or jerk who won't listen to anything others are saying and is bashing other people. But even now I don't get worked up. The only thing it does is get your blood pressure high.
