need help with a stubborn mod

i dled and installed the unlock all factions mod 1.2

i get an annoying script error :

error in data/world/maps/imperial_campaign/descr_strat line 38, column 1

expected faction- must add 2 factions to the world


any help?

What version of rtw are you running? If you aren't running 1.2 then the mod won't work for you.

whoops, I'm running 1.5

how can I remove the mod?

which files do I delete?

or do I need to reinstall(for the 12th time this week)

If you didn't back up the files then yes you'll need to re-install.

You can get all the factions manually yourself.

1:Go to rome-total war/data/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat

2:Remove the factions you want to play as from the non playable list and put them in the playable list.You must have at least 2 factions remaining in the nonplayable list or else the game will CTD but you can change these around anytime.

Note:If you pick SPQR don't click the senate details icon in the campaign map or the game will CTD.

The bolded part isn't quite right, you should always leave the two factions romans_senate and slaves in the non_playable list as these two factions will cause problems whem playing because the game isn't designed to have them playable.

Yeah but you can still play them if you don't mind the little errors

Of course you can play them, but they weren't designed to be played, hence all the "little" errors, as well you can't actually win a campaign with either of those factions, and to be honest IMO playing as either of these factions doesn't add anything to the game.
