    Default New units?

    are there any new units in this mod? It' seems nice and all but I've found that there is way too few infantry units in the vanilla game (especially for the muslim faction, in all honesty it's just redicules)

    For example: If I can give the citizenry spears and shields and send them out (spear militia etc.) then why can't I give them sword and shield? Something not possible in the vanilla game as there aren't no "sword militia" units, and there just ain't no good reason for it!

    anyways my Q: Is there new infantry units in this mod? If not could someone give me a tip as to where I can find such a mod? (already tested "The long road" which sucks in my oppinion, sadly. Still cred for the work they've put down).

    No. Even if i did add in new units it would not be the kind of redundant units you want, as you appear to want new units for new units sakes(for instance you'd probably end up with spear militia, sword militia, axe militia, mace militia, etc.), not to fill a niche or gap in a factions unit roster/tech treee.

    I see. what I don't like about the vanilla game is that (as I said previously) muslim factions (the egyptians/Fatimids in perticular, they have like one unit thats a inf-melee unit not armed with a spear!!!) lack meele-infantry so sieges becomes a real drag as spear armed inf units suck on the offence and they just gets totally owned by inf units armed with swords, I've even seen saracen inf units (heavy spearmen) get owned by swordarmed archers (no they were not ottoman infantry or any such missle n melee unit). thus the muslim factions pretty much suck and really makes the game alot more boring.

    Btw. a short Q: would it be a lot of work for me to take a few units from a mod and implement them in another mod? Strictly for personal use ofcourse. Would it be troublesome for you to tell me how it would be done?

    the reason I ask this is because I have zero modding exp. myself and I have another mod with some nice units that I want to use, however I don't like that mod as a whole.
