Longer battles, anyone?

Hi, so I downloaded TLR last night, installed it and was pleasantly surprised! I love the merc system where you can recruit all different unit types, and like the new factions, and how the ME is not dominated by the Turks or Egyptians.


But then I noticed that battles are still quite quit and lots of deaths occur in situations that they should not. I am one that likes the meat grinding approach, I like to watch the battle unfold and adjust my formations accordingly for victory.

So, is there any mod or anything that I could do to get longer battles, like those of, say, LtC?

Theres a few people trying to make battles last longer, the difficult thing is balancing it out. But, to my knowledge, none of them have been released yet.

Edit- It is possible to have long battles with this mod, one time it took me nearly an hour to win a battle at exeter playing as the english. Later on in the campaign, when armies become larger and better quality the time length also starts to go up.

Simply lower the combat odds glabaly for hits is the simplist way to go.
