i was wondering if anyone else had this experience. i was playing as house of Julii the ohter day when i got troops inside egypt for the first time ever, i was sieging a town when my small army (only 250 men) was attacked by 3 seperate egyptian armies of about 1000 men each. i decided the battle would be a waste of time so auto resolved and to my suprise won the battle having killed 2500 enemy and taken, i still dont belive it, 50 loses. at this point in the game egypt was the biggest badest faction going and so just kept attacking with full stack armies all of which 'i' beat (auto resolving because it worked so well) by the time i landed a new bigger army to back up my men my small army (now about 100 men) had killed at least 6000 egyptians. with my new army i basically took all the biggest egyptian cities which gave me the victory conditions of 50 provinces. is it just that roman troops are best suited against egyptians or is it pure luck?
