I made a thread about this awhile ago but I am really happy that theres a new one since his popularity is tumbling down.

My opinion, he is terrible. He cant take criticism and wants everything to be his way(removing musicians). Plus, he allows the police to get away with everything they do illegally.

New Yorkers hated him but other Americans like him. If Rudy ran again for mayor of New York City he would lose by a landslide. His support of police brutality killed any remaining support from New Yorkers. i have yet to find one New Yorker who likes Rudy! Yes! And I live in New York!

I hope Rudy runs because he will not gain one big state. Texans wouldnt vote for an Italian Catholic, New Yorkers hate him, Florida is a state of New Yorkers and rednecks(who dont like Italian Catholics), and Californians are too liberal.

Note: I dont mean to offend anyone from those states but its my opinion. If I did offend any Texans/Floridians then I am sorry.

We dont, that is simply arfrisco's view who for whatever reasons seems to harbor personal dislike for the man. As a New Yorker I like Rudy just fine and really come on how can anyone take this thread seriously given the original nonsense post.

If you 'read stuff' about the police state he created then I suggest you stop reading fairy tales. This thread and most of comments about Rudy pretty much reinforces the fact few people even bother to read up on stuff and just comment on things they heard from "somewhere". Bottom line NYC was a mess under Dinkins and NYC was left a better place under Rudy, like him or dislike him he produced.

So, Rudi wore a dress. If a dem had done it (including Hillary or Pelosi ) they would be falling over themselves to defend them. Oh, the sincerity is just overwhelming me in this thread.

Notice I didn't whip out catch phrases like Communist. That would be insincere and only for show as I suspect your use of the word fascist was also.

The danger in watering down such words, however, is that you tend to water down what true fascists did in history. But then, maybe that's why history repeats itself. We either forget what happened or we have those who are so wrapped up in the moment that they rewrite history for the here and now. They are so intent on convincing others of their postion that they lose all integrity. They also lose all credibility but unfortunately that's sometimes discovered after the fact (when it's too late.)

So go ahead. Put Chavez up on a pedistal and call men like Rudi and W fascists. After all: What's honesty, integrity and credibility worth in this day-and-age of politics anyway. Right?
