I don't think Paradox is the kind of company that makes a sequel to a perfectly up-to-date game just to make money. That's like making a Medieval 3: Total war.. I for one don't want a new EU, there's 3 already.

Perhaps a more detailed look at the warring states in the east, or mabye the American civil war? That is of course if they do not just continue with the current series.

its Crusader Kings. basically the medieval world (i think its just europe/ME but dont quote me on that as ive never played it)

The logical step for paradox, if they are not doing CK II or another vicky game (they're due for CKII in my opinion...), would be to go to the period prior to hastings, where CK begins.

EU 4 is probably a long way off, as is Vicky II, or another HoI Game. Why? EUIII just came out, Victoria had an add-on ("expansion") release, and Hearts of Iron is not already up to it's second title, but has an expansion.

I'd hope for a totally overhauled Hearts of Iron 3. A game that dumps the province system, so you get fluid frontlines instead of clumsy provinces. Attacks you can micromanage to the level of brigades, or you just order the whole army to move forward. A new naval system that does real positioning on the water, so the battle of the Oceans covers a whole new level. An air combat system that allows you to give complex and individual orders to each of your airwings. A new economy system,...
But this game also has to have a very good interface to let each step be easily commanded.

It sounds more like HoI4 or 5 though.

they dont release sequels in rapid sucession like this. They will release patches and expansions.

I think they will make a HOI or Victoria next, some game in that period.

I bet for a CK II or another period. They made recent releases regarding HOI2 and Vicky and CK is still lacking of something that'll surely need a new game engine.

Roman era, eh? Imagine the politics, civil wars, conquests and mad emperors.. I'd play it. If it would be insanely detailed and complicated of course.

I don't know why they would do a remake again, the existing ones are fine IMO, what could they possibly add to HoI for example? Better graphics with unreasonable system requirements? Meh, I demand a new title.
