PC Lock Up

So basically my PC is locking up or freezing entirely when processing either the Papacy the Timurids or the Rebels during a turn. The mod has always worked great and at most it only takes a minute at very most to process a turn.

At first I could restart the PC and sometimes a turn would complete without any lock up but now it wont at all when loading the autosave or a save of my own.

Ive been playing this campaign for nearly a month and I don't want to lose it, is there something I could do?

for me autosaving makes the game crash for more often for some reason, i turned it off in the preferences file, so far only 1 crash since (which by the way the game was recoverable), just make sure u quick save instead (ctrl+s) every turn
