    Default Multiplayer LAN AI?

    How do I put AI on my LAN game? I cant find it! Yet on the set-up menu I see there is an option to change the AI difficulty... Help?

    No all the difficulty changes is how fatigue morale works i believe. There is no online/LAN AI available, there is in Rome tho

    Err.. But it says "This controls the difficalty of the AI" when I put my cursor over it in the Multiplayer Setup...

    There is no AI in multiplayer.

    It's a big shame really, it'd be fun to do a big siege with a friend against AI.

    i wonder why they got rid of it. you could do it in rome, right? i wish they would put it back in with the expansion.

    Well there's too things to AI, AI that actually makes decisions and AI that controls morale. We know there is no attacking AI in M2, but I'm not totally sure if that selection he's talking about affects the morale or rally, because if a player quits the game the army sits still, but will fight back.

    Could it then somehow be possible to fool, ahem, mod the game to allow us to add AI enemies? I don't understand modding at all, I modded Oblivion a bit, but that was much easier that to mod M2... I guess.

    You'll have to ask around in the modding forums, but I haven't heard of anyone doing it so I'm not sure if this was hardcoded or what.

    I browsed through the main M2 forums, mostly modding communities, but found nothing... It's really stupid of the CO not including this feature...

    But than again, it probably could cause major lags playing over the internet, over Hamachi.

    hmmm not sure about that, I can recall no trouble with lag playing the AI in RTW multiplayer games.

    Ok, but what is your upload speed? Mine is a pitiful 25KB/s, so if I've hosted a game, over Hamachi, with like 1000 AI soldiers, it would lag a lot to the other person playing with me.

    The lag can depend on many factors I'm not going to say I never experience it, but it's not really an issue for my computer or connection. My upload speed is about is probably 3 or 4 times that of when I was playing Rome and I did have some but mostly in large 8 player battles. my current speed test results can be found here:
