    Hi
    how do i make a new vertex in 3ds max

    My Army ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

    Create new geometry (ie plane, box, sphere - go under 'standard primitives') and once you do that, right click and press 'Convert--> Editable Poly.' Press 1 to switch to vertex selection tool, and model away.

    If you want to make new vertices on existing geometry, try using the cut or slice plane tool.

    Thanks, but i want to know how to make a new vertex so if i needed to have one more vertex somwhere how would i do that

    You can (iirc) add a vertex by converting your model to an editable mesh/right click/add vertex...i wouldn't though, more trouble than it's worth...

    Thanks, i have learnt how to use slice plan but when i swich to editable mesh i right click and can not see add vertex

    So cut it in, as I mentioned before. Press 1, you should see the option on the right hand panel.
