    Default Breaking the deadlock

Currently playing as England and have just taken over Ireland. I've been sitting on my ass for a while and was wondering how I can get Scotland to break its treaties with France and Norway?

Its bloody frustrating, I know I can beat Scotland militarily but with France and Norway potentially up my ass they could cause me a lot of trouble.

Although if Norway joins in I could gain Iceland! . Not sure why I want Iceland so much hehe, just would be cool I guess

So, what route do you guys think I should take? I have Calais heavily fortified , but I'm not sure what the French will do. I don't want another 1066 on my hands while my armies are in Scotland.

Feedback welcome! Also.. anyone have an idea on how to save the game using the demo version? I tried making a save game folder in the dictionary but it doesn't seem to work . Damn the developers hehe

    cough torrents cough

    ahem.

declare war, beat them one at a time. blitzreig scotland, take as much as u can, shove the armies on a boat, send them to norway, pwn them too - need about 12% warscore to get a white peace straight away from them.. but depending on how well ur doing u could probably take a bunch of their provinces.

lastly, take on france, the most powerful. The only problem here is that you may lose calais. if they take this early on in the fight dont worry too much, beat them in a few battles and then ask for a white peace and they will probably accept.

Well, perhaps it would've been a better idea to create the save-folder in the game direcory instead of the dictionary... (It is directory, right? The folder I mean... Cause just when I was about to write this, I had a brain meltdown apparently... )

The demo version doesnt give you an option to save, thats why I mean a save game foldier in the dictionary.. sorry if I didnt make that clear.

Wow! I've beaten Scotland quite easily, currently siegeing their last provinces. However, France and Scotland have blockaded most of England and those damn Portuguese have left me to rot . Well they are fighting their own war with morraco so I cant blame them. .

And I've taken the Iceland colonies, so I'm doing pretty well . Soon I'll have a truce with France and Norway aswell.

    Too bad I cant save..

Hmmm.. why wont it let me annex the scottish lands I've taken?

I've got a 100% warscore and ALL of their lands are taken. I'm still at war with Norway and France though.. any idea's?

EDIT: Is it possible to get a peace deal with ONE of them (France, Norway serpately) and have it not effect their entire alliance?

You can't annex nations with multiple provinces. You'll have to leave them their capital and you can then annex it in the next war.
If France is the leader of the alliance, you probably can't make a separate peace. I'm not even sure how these things are decided. But I sure know that attacking France's allies is always risky.

Btw, watch your reputation (in the full version at least), it'll go down if you keep harrassing the poor Scots like that.

Harassing them? I'm LIBERATING them from their cruel and unjust kings

What so I'll have to have 2 wars with Scotland to fully annex and destroy them?

I'm guessing France is the leader of the alliance.. (their doing all the work). Perhaps I can get a seperate peace with Denmark then?

    Thanks for the replies!
