is it possible to turn of the feature. Only the automatic merge!

Open the text file name script_4tpy_dates.txt in the IMP/data/scripts/show_me folder.
Look for this entry ;
Either delete or commented these whole entry.;;;;-----Script automerge TFT-----;;;;

Not just cohorts, but even Legions were disbanded when their units were separated and merged to supplement other Legions in theatre.

but isnt it also true that most legions were almost never at full strength, and that they didnt have 9 full cohorts and one tiny cohort, but instead had 10 understrength cohorts?..
well also we are limited on how many men we can train (one unit per city per barracks) if the romans had to, they could train many more men.
Not nessaraly. if you think of the requirments to be in the roman army, training, and equipment, i think it's resonable to train 162 men per city every 3 MONTHS! also in the real world you cant just march your legions to the nearest city to fill the ranks just like today the Romans had to ship/march reinforcements to the theatre. they couldn't just order a legion to go to a city and retrain. so maybe it thats what unhistorical. also is this the right thread for this? i thought this was a technical ? not a historical ?
