Need some advice for turkish campaign please
I have tried several times now playing the turks but I always get sandwiched by the Byzantines and Egypt.
I have tried both, going for Jerusalem early and not. The only possible ally I see is the moors, which are too far away to establish an alliance before the AI decides you an easy target. The town militia and spearmen take awful casualities even in siege battles and seem to rout alot in open battles. The horsearchers have limited use in the mountainous terrain around the capital, sometimes you get bugged battle maps where you cannot place your units properly or at all and automatically loose. I usually end up with multiple cities under siege, unable to retrain or build and in monetary debt. Once you are at war with the Byzantines the missions become useless as you are always supposed to blockade a port, and you don't even have a port yourself to begin with. You cannot aim for the undergarrissoned Egypt cities due to the garrison script. Killing off multiple enemy fullstacks does not seem to hurt them at all, they send in 2-3 fullstacks on a regular basis from west and south after a while, outmanouver your border cities and go for the "hinterland". I see not a single ambush possibility near my capital.
How can I survive long enough to train Jannissary troops and Naffatum?
Edit: Only turk specific hints please, I have already finished other faction campaigns and know about the "basics".

Well you have to try and capture Antioch as soon as you have it you should have plenty of money, start building roads in all your provinces at the beginning and try not to recruit to may units or mercenaries, develop Caesaria because it will give you Ottoman infantry(very good) and spahis, your armies in Anatolia and the Caucasus should be mainly infantry with a bit of horse archers and the further south you go use more horse archers, against the Byzantines you won't be able to defeat them with your infantry before you get Janissaries so try instead to beat the with missile fire and kill their archers, horse archers with your general and Spahis if absolutely necessary recruit some armenian cavalry and archers. Develop your cities to the max economicaly that sould help quite a bit.
The main problem with the turks is that they don't have good early period units and also that they don't have such a good economic base.
with deplomacy try to keepm the Egyptians happy with money until you have delt with the Byzantines and then you sould be powerfull enough to crush them.

Re: Need some advice for turkish campaign please
Okay finally made it with a huge portion of luck on my side (made it in terms of surviving the first 50 turns).
Jihadded directly to Jerusalem, used the Jihad troups to take every settlement back to my capital where I refreshed my armies, got lucky with missions, all doable with monetary and troup rewards, the Egypts got a successful crusade on Cairo and got delayed, boxed off the Egypts, hindered the byzantines by massively sending in Imams and they were at war with Venice too so by the time they came my way I had grabbed most of the rebel settlements. To hinder their advance I now called a Jihad on Constantinople and let the Egypts and Moors do the fighting for me while I develop my economy. Byzantines don't dare to declare war and Egypts are pretty much dead for the next 30 turns.
