    Default Translation proposal

    Hello!!!

    I would like to make an italian translation of SV, of course with your permission.
    SV it's a gorgeous mod, I wanted it to be more played among italian people, and a translation it's a good way to "conquer" people who do not like playing games in english (how sad!). In addition, playing with the full game in one language only (if you play with a stranger version, you have half game in english, and half in the other language), will be more appropriate. So I wanted to do a try, but only if you agree with that.

    If I have your permission, I need some infos of what files to edit.

    Probably it's best to wait for 2.1 patch to come out before doing this? Or can I start already?

    Please, if you like the idea, tell me.

    You have to edit nearly all files within the SV/data/text folder.
    In these files you'll find always command lines in clamps { ... } which you leave untouched, and everything behind you must translate.

    Any chance for this exam? Very low, because the established Anthropocentrism destroys the basis of existence.

    Ok, you mean even the .bin ones? Or only the .txt?

    You just need to change the txt files, M2 will recreate the bins.

    I have finished translating:

    historic_events.txt
    menu_english.txt (integral copy/paste )
    names.txt
    rebel_faction_descr.txt
    SicilianVespers_Early_regions_and_settlement_names.txt
    (question: is the regions' names the same in both early and late campaigns?)

    I am currently work with expanded_early.txt.
    Quite a work!!! But I will be stronger than that!!!!

    I want to do a translation of 2.1, after seeing the huge modifications you plan to do . It seems to me a bit unuseful to make a translation of 2.0 since it will be changed in a short time, or not?

    I saw the Ancillaries and Traits txt files, they are very long to translate, so tell me: in the next patch of SV, will they be changed? Because if it's so, I won't translate them (I will wait the new patch and then translate the new ones), it will be a waste of time if they have to be changed, do you agree?

    Same for Units....

    If you plan to change Ancillaries/Traits/Units, if you want, could you send me the new .txt files you plan to use in 2.1? (By mail or other ways), so I can work with the most updated ones. Thank you!

    (If you disagree, could you please tell me what .txt files won't be changed? So I can focus on these... )

    Ancillaries will not be changing, but the traits will be changed due to BB&B 2.0.

    There will be a few units added, and I still need to add the Cumans for the early campaign.

    I will PM you later about the rest.

    I think in 2.0 they may be the same, but I am going to change some early province and settlments for early in 2.1.

    ExamDiff is a good tool to compare files:

    Very good. I have finished translating Ancillaries files, now I will concentrate on Campaign Descriptions. Then I think I will wait for your instructions.
