UAI: um.. world war..0?
I started a new campaign with UAI 1.5 and CNP 3.2 for SS 3.2. Goes great until something peculiar happens...
I declard a Jihad on Antioch and next turn there is a Crusade on the same city, ok fine. I take the city and with my other Jihad army I defeat a Crusading Templar army. All of a sudden I am at war with 8 European factions. They didn't even attack me nor I them.
So now I have two diplomats trying feverishly to call ceasefires but no one wants it. They wont even attack me. This is bad because it conflicts with my goal of a large trading base. Also having this many enemies so early (now its 1127 at 1 yr per turn) can't be a good thing.
y rep now is very reliable. I'm going to hunt for pirates, I heard you can use it as an exploit to get good relations so that may help me correct this odd anomaly.
Thoughts?

Re: UAI: um.. world war..0?
My initial thought is 'yes you did attack them'...when receiving messages about crusades as a catholic faction I often see 'HRE has joined the crusade, as has Portugal, Spain etc etc'
By attacking the crusade you have in effect attacked all of them. A crusade is a joint operation I guess
Assassinating someone youre neutral with and getting caught leads to the same results I believe (tho merchants are ok)

Oh ok that's what I had guessed thanks. Only before my relations would drop to abysmal if I attacked a crusader army so I had ruled it out.
