    Default Too much to ask!

Okay, I loved the mod. It was great and long. But there are some minor settlement problems. Too many large cities and little small cities. Too much army and provinces. It would be better, if you lower the army and the cities and the settlement and add a new one faction. The Saka, then the mod will be spectaculer. It would be better, if you make a provincel campaign, starts the rise of Islam in North Africa.

Islam originated on the Arabian peninsula in 63xAD, so it is somewhat beyond the scope of this mod. Nevertheless I agree it would by principle be an interesting scenario.

I don't know if there still are faction slots left for the Saka....but aren't they much like the Hephtalites anyway?

Less provinces and less units??? Play vanilla BI.
    Bad idea!
I agree with deus ret. The islam is a post christian religion, as everybody should know (normally)!
So, in the time frame where IBFD.X plays there is no islamic faction.

The settlement thing: The (european) world, in that we are linving today (some of us) was prepared and build at the end of the late antique. In this case I mean Ramon (and his advisors) made a very realistic mod. The cities are perfect. Which cities are too big?? Give some examples.
I mean in my game the cities of Lugdunum (Lyon) or Mediolanum (Milano) have 6000-12000 citizens. I thing that is small enough.

I am sure this is a personal choice, and that some people like to play vanilla-esque (factions almost have to build from scratch, with mostly small towns and small armies, and almost all factions equal at the beginning) However, I and I am sure a few others have a different preference. I prefer to be thrust into a world already in turmoil, and try to survive or carve a niche for myself in this situation.

This is actually one of the biggest complaints I have against vanilla M2TW. Cities like Thessalonika have a wooden palisade?! this city has been around for hundreds of years!!! (thousands of years in the case of M2TW) and its still that underdeveloped?! Also, factions like the Turks and Byzantines are at war with each other where the hell are their armies?

Moreover, historically, in this timeframe Rome was very well developed, you could almost say that the challenge was actually to maintain what you have rather than to 'build up' a faction (if you're Roman). militarily, In this year there were armies upon armies all over Europe and the East - Huns, Germans invading Rome, Roman Armies trying to save Rome, Usurper armies. The western situation is actually very close to what can be gleaned from historical sources.

and add a new one faction. The Saka, then the mod will be spectaculer.
unfortuantely, there is no more 'faction space' to add the Saka. Maybe, just maybe, one earlier idea (borrowed from Arbaces) of making 'focus' mods. i.e.
focused on East - add in Afrigid Khwarezmian kingdom, Guptas, Kushans, Saka, remove RB, Picts, WRR, Berbers
focused on Britain - add in Gaels, a few more British tribes, remove Burgundii, Langobardi
focused on western europe - add in Jovian's Roman rebels, Gerontius, Vandals still in Gaul, Alans and Suebi in Iberia... etc...

but to do this the 'base mod' has to be stable, in unit composition, etc...

It would be better, if you make a provincel campaign, starts the rise of Islam in North Africa.
better still would be a submod on this (especially since a new religion has to be added - actually not that difficult to do) - would be like AFTER Riothamus' 527AD mod. I would also want to see something like this - the Arabs conquering The east and moving in to North Africa, subduing the berbers, and moving on to Spain before being stopped by the Franks yummy...
