    Icon14 Favourite Booze?

not sure if this is the right place but oh well...this is kind of based on the thread Alcohol america vs europe but more about actual alcohol and not alcohol culture. basically whats your favourite beer and why, or maybe your more into spirits.

for me i love all kinds of booze
Bitter is my favourite because its so smooth and lovely i think its quite a british thing but Tetleys, john smiths etc
Lager i mostly like Mainland europes offerings because it actually has taste instead of just being really cold or watery. i love Okocim (mosne) from poland (and its 7%) and of course Budweiser (the original Czeck one) which is also very smooth like bitter but still lagery, there are many others i cant be arsed to list.
i also love whisky so i guess im just a piss head but then im a british teenager so its expected.
i really hate all the 'mainstream' lagers that i used to drink when i was 14 they taste so god awful and i swear they mix 1 part beer with 4 parts water, i had an american budweiser the other day and it could have been a soft drink it was so watery...i think whoever invented 'light beer' should be shot (i know budweiser isnt light beer)

I don't have a favorite beer really, I like Sam Adams and I love mexican beers. Rolling Rock is good too. I usually drink Miller, while it's not the greatest by any means, it's good for the price.

As far as spirits, I drink primarily rum, captian morgan and maybe mount gay. I also drink southern comfort from time to time and I've been known to drink quite a bit of Jager. And after all that i'll resort to Jack Daniels.
Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Let's see - I'm mostly drink wine and prefer heavy, dry red-wines.

Other than that, my standard beer is Becks, but I enjoy Guiness and Belgian trapist-beers as well. I've never drunk american Bud in my whole life, so I can't really comment on that, except for that I've heard it must be terrible.

Concerning hard-Liquor, my favorite is whiskey - Lagavullin and Talisker being my favourites, but when I'm just up to getting plastered, Jameson will do. Other than that, I like rum (brown Havanna Club being my favourite...).

you can get an 18 pack of miller lite for 13.99 at most at the local liquor or grocery store. Jager cost upwards to 20 bucks for a fifth, or 20 bucks for a handle of rum "top shelf." For corona, it costs about 11.99 at the least for a 12 pack, along with pretty much any other mexican beer. My favorite mex beers are more along the lines of dos equis and pacifico then corona, though corona isn't bad with or without the lime.

and price for me in particular is a big thing because I drink alot. I opened a bottle of jager today and went through half of it and am not all that drunk, actually not at all right now. Not to say I drink to get drunk, but a buzz is a nice thing to have and I'd like to get one as financially painless as possible.

    Lager, stout and spirits.

I'm not a wine drinker, unless it's fortified.

Port wine and Vodka - Nothing else, really.

I really like those two drinks, but I don't get to taste them too often,
    I'm getting drunk very rarely

And beer only gives me shivers...
    Gah, I hate beer
