Default DLV 3.1 - Map etc

    Hi,

I haven't posted or been around the forums heavily in a while, just came back to M2TW...

I used to Beta test Anno Domini, and while waiting for a newer version to come out I was trying to find other mods of interest and Deus Lo Vult is the one that's captured my interest for now.

Only one thing that I want to ask, is there a practical reason for changing the start Date to 1080 (in which case you miss out on most of the early crusades etc) but also, with this 1180 start date, there has been no change to starting lands for most factions, England still occupies territory taken by William the Conqueror bits its territory doesn't accurately reflect an 1180 start date.

Is there any way territory will be made more accurate in future releases and or/the start date turned back somewhat?

The level of settlements for an 1180 start date is also somewhat problematic, London for example lacks even a small church at the start date, which after 100 years of Norman rule seems a bit weird.

Sorry if my questions sound belligerent, theyr'e not meant to be.

    Thanks in advance,

    Yuri.

my best answer: want to do it?

if you want, edit the respective files and post your results here, as much explanation of changes as posible, and repman may find it to be nice enough to include it in next DLV..

    Hi Yuri Zhivago

Repman does this pretty well on his own, only being helped with the new crop of growing DLV mini-mods. If you can balance settlements and their structures as well as other interesting things, do a mini-mod and if it takes and get's stickied - it'll soon get implimented into a new DLV build (should Repman find it up to the grade).
