Ah yes, I remember now. http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpo...22&postcount=4

You have to edit the names in the expanded_bi.txt. Try that and see if it works.

Because i followed the tutorial I posted above about three days ago, ran into the same problem you are having, then changed the names in the expanded_bi and it worked.

I wonder, how come EB for an example could change the name on the Senate faction to Saba in all their texts files.
Why does it works with Senate but not with other factions?

EB changed the internal name from Senate to Saba because it removes the hard coding associated with the Senate faction if you do that - eg. they needed the faction to behave differently as well. The only factions that have hard coding associated with the name are romans_senate in RTW and slavs and romano_british in BI. You may have specific reasons for wanting to change to / from those internal names, if you don't need to change the hardcoded aspects you could just change the external name, eg.
    {senate} = Saba

Search all the way through expanded_bi.txt to see if you missed any brutii messages, if you just meant the title for the campaign I think that comes from data/text/campaign_descriptions.txt, data/text/shared.txt also has a reference to the factions.

    The small icons are on
    data/UI/culture/interface/stratpage_02.tga &
    data/UI/culture/interface/sharedpage_01.tga
if you're using RTW you will need to have unpacked the packs folders to see them. I think the roman ones need to be re-packed to be read (?) there is something odd about that, most things you can just move from unpacked location to data/UI/... but I think the roman interface won't work from there. But I think if you are using a mod-folder you can just put them in the relevant place in the mod-folder instead.

Thank you for answering! So I guess if they'd changed the other factions internal name it would be too much work to be worth it?
