Default CTD in year 238 summer

I am getting a ctd on end turn while playing as ROME using RTR Platinum 1.8 with BI 1.6. I have no other mods installed and none of my cities are about to revolt (all happiness ratings are 85 or above).

I believe the game is crashing right before the end of carthages turn beacuse if I deploy some of my units in different areas it effect their actions and sometimes the crash happens in different parts of their turn. I have tried toggle_fow and follow AI to see what is going on but there doesn't seem to be a reason. It seems to crash right after an army has moved.

I will try to post my savegame later.

    Save games are available here.

Can anyone confirm that the game crashes on their systems as well? Is there a way to narrow down whether it happens at the end of carthages turn or the beginning of the next factions turn?

A bug involving Carthage moving their fleet has been the only one I've been totally unable to resolve since I discovered the "rebel city" problem. My advice to you is to do what I've started doing: Save your game every turn in rotating slots. Odds are that if you go back even one turn prior, the computer will not have the same problem that is causing your game to crash.

It might happen because the Carthaginian admiral are trying to acquire traits that were broken or bugged.. I confess I'm not familiar with modding traits.. but it could be one of the reasons...

Unfortunately I don't have any earlier saves to work from. The general consensus is that this file cannot be salvaged?

Is any of the carthaginian towns about to rebel?

How do I check the happiness of settlements which aren't mine. I don't have a way to get near the carthaginian towns with a spy or anything similar.

Using toggle_fow makes the whole map viewable
