    Default Giving the rebel map info to all AI players

    Is this possible? I just realised the AI may expand slowly at first because they don't know where the cities are... duh!

    I've been playing 14 turns of a scottish campaign, and the english full stack in the nottingham region has done nothing, despite there being the rebel castle of caernarvon right there.. If they knew it was there, I bet they'd attack.

    Couldn't agree more with that. The AI is downright brainless at times.

    Umm... I know the AI doesn't have a brain, it is coded to do what it certain things. What I'm saying is, the AI would be better if it had the rebel map information, because it would know where the cities are and thus be able to attack them. As it is, when they can't see the cities, they just sit around.

    good point but i reckon its the stupidity of the AI
    No the ai just doesn't know the settlements there, it generally takes towns based on what it can see and missions it gets given.

    So do you think this would be possible with scripting? On the first turn, give rebel map info to all players on the condition AndFactionIsNotLocal or something like that? (I've never actually done much scripting, just a very few things).

    I asked for map information from the AI (france) in return for map information and the computer flaged bordeaux as a rebel settlement so i think if the settlement is declaired as theers in the descr_regions.txt it will be given as map information so its a guideline on where they need to go and conquer.

    I gave map info to the pope as a gift to suck up to him and keep my standing with him peachy and clean, and he invaded Africa...........................
