Default An little help for those players that allmost all the time forget to activate the script

Just download this file http://www.mediafire.com/?6tuyxxjvu2o and replace the ones found here: "Data\loading_screen" with the ones inside this archive.

I've made them this night for u . Each time u will start an new game or load one (no matter with what faction) u will be able to read an big sentence in the top center of the screen like this one: "Don't forget to activate the script !!!"

So u won't do this no more

btw the file I posted here does the same thing, but it only shows it when you are loading the campaign, not on all loading screens. So you only see it when you need to.

Mine does the same, the message appears when an campaign is loaded, not all the time.

Sorry, I was wrong. The message appears every time when u load an game even in quick combat and even when u quit an battle.

Yeah instead of actually editing the loading screen itself, I edited the faction symbol overlay on the loading screen, that only shows when you load a campaign.

I actually haven't forgotten to activate it in about five months. But I would never want it to happen again.

I really need to ask this question: why not let 2 turn per year? This would end up all this and many other problems, perhaps half of all problems with this mod.
The game is using MAX limit of 1920 periods, with finish date in 240 AD, why not 400 AD or even later if this is not so-historical mod?
When I look Garnier's signature he is in Jerusalem in 138 BC, and still a LOT of time for 240AD.
Fighting in snow in winter season is not the problem either, if replacing winter by 'autumn', still with winter icon. this is how I play, as i don't like snow.

The script that you activate after loading a game is not only for 4 turns; it enables the auto-garrison for AI too. When you approach or siege an AI city, if the script is activated, a large garrison will spawn (mainly low-end units).
It is a main feature of this mod and a great improvement; without it the game would be too easy.

Btw, ovidiu and Garnier had a very good idea indeed. I tried Garnier's solution (because it was smaller to download ) and it helps. I would only suggest to raise the contrast by choosing different colors, something easy to notice: blue and white perhaps? :hm:
I hope one of these solutions will be included in the next release.

the point is you can modify this part of the script which is responsible for turns per year, while not disabling garrison script, so this way to avoid issues with save game after forgeting to activate the script even once.

Almost all the other mods use a script. SPQR is one of the few that has a script but is optional. If you dont like the script dont use. Easy fix. Basically if you played SPQR all the time it isnt hard to remember the script.

U are right Lt. If u play only SQPR u will get used with the script, but sometimes it happens just to forget about activating it.
