Hi, you can simply cut-paste the real combat mod files to another folder and this would prompt the game to read from the pak files even if they were not present. As for the save games, i think you have to start afresh as the data would then be different and it might cause crashes.

Besides, it is illegal to share vanilla game files.

I'm not asking you to share mtw2's files. I'm just asking you to put the files that were modded into another folder so the game will read from the pak files. This ain't illegal, no sharing with anyone is involved.

Well, he said this. He asked us to e-mail him vanilla files, which, from what I've seen, this forum forbids.
Not my business anyway, just pointing.

The only possible solution is to move or copy the files you don't want overwritten to a random folder temporally just to be safe and use the unpacker to unpack certain files that you need.
